Destroyed and then repainted in ink and watercolor. :)  (Due to using old frisket that was only semi-sticky.)  Initially spilled tea on the picture, let it sit about a year, and further demolished it.  Fortunately, was able to remove much of the blue paint spill by using rubbing alcohol on the watercolor board. Several weather-related instruments and themes are featured on the castle. This painting is 9x12 inches. Catching up...

I finally discovered and read several comments on various pictures; thanks so much to all that took a moment to comment.  I think I was so overwhelmed with the complexity and amount of info on this site that I've overlooked a quite a few things.  Anyway, I answered any questions I came across, even if it was several months ago; sorry... :( Hope to get around to check out the galleries and add some updates in the near future...

I have an original for sale on eBay ending today.  Not good to end on a Friday I guess, but I didn't count correctly... Years ago I did a similar theme with the zodiac symbols appearing in the sky.  That was about the only thing I liked about the artwork, so I was happy to work it into a new image. I should post some of these older pictures somewhere, some of them are quite funny, I think. :)  I always like seeing early work by artists. The original artwork is up for auction here: href= "[link] _W0QQsassZcgb30 Or search by seller cgb30.

Absolutely amazing work! I look forward to seeing more
You made me dream.
Dear Christy,

Your works would make wonderful illustrations for poems, stories, fables, books, etc.

There is a poem about a griffin in a book that I remember from childhood. I will never forget it. It is sealed in my memory and pops up all the time, even now that I am almost a half a century old. Your work reminds me of the illustration that was printed with that poem in my childhood book.

That is the power of art. Not only is art a vehicle of expression for the artist, but it comes to life when viewed, having so many associations and connotations for various viewers. Art can live on and on in the mind, too, as we remember and are influenced by it.

Congratulations on a wonderful gallery. I sent you a bunch of favs with comments.

Keep on creating...
